Why we grow indoors

Picked, not shipped.

We grow indoors in Kota Kinabalu, under LED light, in water instead of soil, a short drive from your door.

Every green leaves the farm whole, roots and all, so it keeps growing on your counter.

Nothing waits in a warehouse. We harvest early on Friday morning and deliver from 10 am the same day.

Roots on means it keeps. Stand it in a little water and pick leaves as you need them.

How the basket works

Step one

Pick a size.

Small, Family or Large: 5, 10 or 16 plants a week. Pick them yourself, or leave it to us.

Step two

Add eggs, if you like.

Green Cresco’s cage-free Super Eggs, all Grade A, a tray of 10 or 30 in the same bag. Or a small box of edible flowers.

Step three

Friday, it’s at your door.

Harvested that morning and delivered between 10 am and 4 pm. Skip a week or pause from your phone.

Their hens walk loose on the coop floor in Tuaran and Papar, never in cages, and eat herbs with their grain. Every egg we pack is Grade A.

Before you order.

Where do you deliver?

Around Kota Kinabalu and Penampang, condos first. Type your postcode on the order page and it tells you straight away.

Can I choose my plants?

Yes. Pick them when you order, or leave it to us. Your picks repeat every Friday until you change them in My basket, up to Thursday at 4 pm. A basket holds up to 2, 3 or 5 bunches of herbs or kale, by size. Herbs come cut, about 20 g a bunch, and kale comes as picked leaves, about 50 g.

What if I’m not home on Friday?

We leave it at your door or with the guardhouse, and send you a photo once it’s there.

How long do the plants last?

Greens arrive with their roots on. Stand them in a little water or keep them in the fridge, and pick leaves as you need them. Herbs in the basket come cut: keep them in a glass of water and use them that week. Kale leaves and edible flowers keep best in the fridge.

Can I skip a week or stop?

Yes. Skip any Friday from your My basket link until Thursday at 4 pm, and it moves to the end of your four weeks. To stop, simply don’t renew. If you need to stop early, email us and we’ll refund the Fridays you haven’t had.

How do I pay?

Four weeks up front, by FPX online banking, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You get a receipt and your My basket link by email.

Where do the eggs come from?

Green Cresco’s farms in Tuaran and Papar, Sabah. The hens are cage-free: they walk loose on the coop floor instead of living in cages, and eat herbs with their grain. Only Grade A eggs go in baskets. Each Super Egg pack carries a nutrition panel lab tested by MARDI, and says: rich in protein, folic acid and omega 3, with no antibiotics, no hormones and no trans fat.
